Yesterday was Tracey’s last full day here in SoCal and after we spent the whole afternoon hanging out and enjoying the sun (which finally came out after hiding behind the clouds for the last week) we decided to venture out for a sushi dinner at Fat Fish before going to The Grove to see Despicable Me. I’ve been dying to see this movie for weeks now and, if you can believe it, Tracey has never seen a 3D movie before so … away we went:While I still contend that Toy Story 3 is the best animated film released this year, Despicable Me is also very, very good.

Brace yourselves, y’all … after a report came out earlier this week that claimed that Paris Hilton is currently working on a new album of music inspired by Aussie pop goddess Kylie Minogue, Paris was spotted shooting a new music video in Ibiza for her as-yet unreleased new album … behold:As her new album “is in production,” Paris Hilton wastes no time to move on to promotional effort. The celebrity socialite has recently filmed visuals for her forthcoming single. She is pictured rocking a pink bikini, a pair of matching high heels and blue-framed sunglasses.

We love this book too much for it to suck!Director Shawn Levy has reportedly signed on to direct a 'high concept' film adaptation of the Judith Viorst classic Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!For those of you who grew up under a rock, the book revolves around a sour puss kid who gets metaphorically shit on for about 45 pages. We think our favorite little burst of rainbows and kittens Kristen Stewart should play Alexander! This whole 'high concept' description worries us.

Last night Tracey and I made our way to the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood to see a screening of the 1980 Stanley Kubrick film The Shining. Hands down, The Shining is one of my all-time fave films … and is deffo in my Top 5 horror films list. I’ve seen the film many times but never on the big screen … when I found out that a big screen showing was happening last night, I jumped at the chance to get tickets:I was completely blown away … a film with such size and scope as The Shining MUST be seen on the big screen. You really haven’t experienced the film properly if you’ve only seen it on TV.

Katy Perry is still around. Is anyone else with me in the desire that one day we’ll wake up and everyone will have united in deciding that Katy is irrelevant and pretty talentless? That day shall come, and it shall be glorious. Anyway, Katy just released several promotional photos from her new album, Teenage Dream. Unfortunately, these aren’t super-cool paintings of a naked Katy on a cloud. No, in these images, Katy shows off her talents in a rubber bikini, of course. Ugh. I hate to admit it (really hate it) but the rubber bikini top is kind of cool. It’s very mod.

Do you know how terrible an actor Justin Timberlake is? He’s so bad he can’t even recognize good acting. JT appointed himself as director of the commercials for his tequila brand, 901 Silver Tequila. It’s supposed to be premium stuff (according to Copyranter), and very, very expensive. So of course JT wanted to direct the glossy, sexy ads himself. Except that he’s unoriginal. Except that he hired an “actress” based (probably) on how good her blow job was. Worst line reading ever? Perhaps. I mean… what director thinks that is a good performance?

Robert Pattinson, who has temporarily relocated here in SoCal so that he can film his new movie Water for Elephants, was spotted out on a movie date with an older woman in Malibu, CA this weekend … and the older woman was his mother!
