On Wednesday we got our first look at new co-stars Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz filming their first scenes together on the Hawiian set of the upcoming sequel film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Today we get to see the pair on set again but this time they are rehearsing a scene out of costume aboard their pirate ship.

The people at In Touch sent us these gorgeous pictures of the amazing mansion in Oahu, Hawaii where Johnny Depp and his family are staying for the summer. It rents for $5,000 a night and you can see why. The property has a gym, infinity pool, game room and I’m sure much more. Super rich Johnny is probably not even footing the bill. He’s in Hawaii to film Pirates of The Caribbean 4, and was recently spotted working alongside his new costar, Penelope Cruz.

Unlike her contemporaries, we don’t hear much from gorgeous Newlywed Penelope Cruz about her diet, exercise regime or how she keeps her bod so svelte. There may be a very good reason for that. You Magazine quotes her as saying that you don’t have to be thin to be pretty and that she would “close down all those teenage magazines that encourage young girls to diet.” (Please note that while these quotes are excellent and they sound legitimate, I could not verify on You Magazine’s website that she granted them an interview to go along with their cover story.
Question: Just how cold is it in Tokyo this time of year? Because looking at these photos of Angelina Jolie at a photo call for Salt in Toyko is making me wonder just how jacked the Japanese keep their air conditioning. I just looked it up - Toyko is the same temperature as Virginia today. What the hell, Jolie? Are you trying to give yourself heatstroke? Anyway, beyond the concerns I have about her black pants and baggy black sweater, I have to admit, it’s a good outfit, and one I wish I owned (for winter). Angelina is looking a bit tired though - jet-lagged probably.
